Class description: Join CSA award winning performer and producer (Pretty Hard Cases, CTV)) Sedina Fiati for a foundational level producing masterclass. This class will be a comprehensive introduction to the responsibilities of a producer in all stages of production, and will bring clarity to the skills needed to step into this role. 

 

Tangible takeaways: 

  • What does a producer do? Clarity around the responsibilities of a producer during pre production, production and post production 

  • Differentiating between creative producing and line producing 

  • Introduction to creating a budget. In class example of breaking down a script + essential things to budget for (ie. insurance, hard drives, location permits)

  • Working with unions 

  • Key sources of funding bodies when financing a project

  • How to let your values guide producing

 

Who is this for: This masterclass is ideal for producers who are just beginning their careers. The class is designed to offer the essential knowledge needed to begin the act of producing with more confidence and connections.
